Our Story
Tashafi began with a question we heard so often we knew it by heart: "Where do we find a doctor we can trust?"
After everything Syria has been through, the answer too often came down to luck or connections — those who knew someone got through; those who didn't guessed, paid, and got worn down. We couldn't accept that people's health should depend on who they know. So we started here: one open, verified directory that puts a doctor's name, address, and number in anyone's hands — no sign-up, no fees, and no need to ask, "who do you know?"
We didn't build Tashafi to make money, and we'll say it plainly: the site offers paid plans for doctors and facilities, because servers and field verification cost money — but profit is not the point, and what comes in goes toward keeping the project alive and growing it. And one rule stands before and after everything else: the "Verified" badge and search rankings are never for sale. Our real goal is simpler and closer to people's lives: a verified doctor found by a patient who was lost, an on-duty pharmacy found by a father at two in the morning, a visit that finds the door open instead of a clinic that no longer exists. That is how we measure success — case by case, person by person.
And we dream past the directory. We hope one day to see clinics sponsored by Tashafi, or carrying its name: high-quality, genuinely affordable, staffed by excellent doctors — so that good medicine in Syria becomes something everyone can reach, not a privilege of those with money or connections. It is a dream, not a promise. But we are walking toward it, step by step.
Tashafi is a small beginning — our modest contribution to making Syria a better place. And small beginnings, built honestly, grow.
